Eclipse Exploration: A Stellar Journey In-Person

Not sure what to expect with the Solar Eclipse on April 8th? Come to the Library and join Jen Allred, a retired NASA Engineer, as she talks to us about the eclipse and leads us through a reproduction of what will happen the day of. Registration is required so be sure to sign up and save your seat for this one. This program is open to all ages.

All attendees will receive a free pair of certified glasses to use on the day of the Eclipse on April 8th.

Mark your calendar. We will be OPEN for the solar eclipse on Monday, April 8th! The Summer of 65 band will be performing live from 1-4PM! We hope to see you there!

We will also be giving away solar eclipse viewing glasses to the public starting March 2024 (while supplies last). You can request a pair from the visitor’s information desk at the Frost Center at Osborn MetroPark. Limit 1 per person. EVENTS AT ERIE METROPARKS:

Solar Eclipse Nature Hike, Mon. Apr. 8, 2-4 p.m. Join us for an unforgettable nature hike at Edison Woods MetroPark. We will be on the lookout for various signs of wildlife, including birds, mammals, and amphibians. We will experience the incredible Solar Eclipse together out in the woods. How will nature respond to the sudden blackout? Solar eclipse safety glasses will be provided. All ages. Registration required. Limit 15. Edison Woods MetroPark, 8111 Smokey Rd., Berlin Heights.

Park PALS: Solar Eclipse Day!, Mon. Apr. 8, 10:30-11:30 a.m. This Preschoolers Actively Learning Science program will teach you everything you need to know about today’s solar eclipse! We will read a story, take a walk, and make a craft. Must be accompanied by an adult. Ages 3-6. Registration required. Limit 15. Osborn MetroPark, Frost Center, Erie Room, 3910 Perkins Ave., Huron.
